Changes in the Ohio Medicaid Prescription Program Starting February 1, 2010
These changes will affect everyone in your family who gets health care through an Ohio Medicaid managed care plan (MCP).
Starting February 1, 2010, Ohio Medicaid will pay for your prescription drugs and some prescription medical supplies at the pharmacy (diabetic supplies, inhaler spacers, peak flow meters, syringes, needles, alcohol wipes, and condoms). Your MCP will no longer pay for them. You may have to pay a co-payment for some prescription drugs. There are no other changes. You will still get your other health care through your MCP. learn more

Know Your Benefits
Consumers in Medicaid managed care get to choose a managed care plan (MCP). An MCP is a health care company. Its doctors and hospitals provide health care services covered by Medicaid. If you have Medicaid and are in an MCP, you will need to get health care from the doctors and hospitals that are with your MCP.
